MEXICO, Mexico City, 2 reales, Charles-Joanna, "Late Series," assayer G to right, mintmark M to left (M-G), king's name as CHAROLVS, found on the east coast of Florida. Nesmith-49 for type; Cal-93; S-M5; KM-18. 6.70 grams. Much detail visible through patches of corrosion and wear, an unexpected find in this area. With photo-certificate from the finder (Buddy Martin), who describes the coin as being found in 1974 on the "WEST side of the Indian River across from Douglas Beach."
