Lot of 3 pewter military buttons, Revolutionary War period (late 1700s), probably American militia, from Monck's Corner, SC, in Riker box. 4.9 to 6.1 grams each, all about 1" in diameter. Crusty and cracked, typical of such finds, but each of these buttons has visible letters, two with PN on back (probably American militia) and one with crowned RP on front ("Royal Provincials," British loyalist), dark brown and heavily patinated, important provenance.
