Lot of 2 brass musket parts (trigger guard and buttplate), rare provenance. 236 grams total; up to 12" long. Heavily patinated but 100% intact, both with readable markings (like AE in a box and an incuse circle with 3 points), basically the leftovers of a musket whose wood and iron were lost to the elements. With certificate from the salvager. From: "Musket wreck" (Erfprins Van Augustenburg), sunk in 1790 off Table Bay, South Africa
