Lima, Peru, pillar 8 reales, Ferdinand VI, 1752J, rare, ex-Sellschopp. KM-55.1; CT-306. 26.68 grams. AU- with beautiful (dark) toning showing blue-green highlights around details, minor die-break on king's ordinal. Note in the 1988 SBC auction this coin sold for 5000 Swiss francs (about $3600 after buyer's fee at the time). Pedigreed to the Sellschopp collection (Swiss Bank Corp., September 1988, lot #260) and to the Aureo & Calico auction of November 2012 ("Gaspar de Portola" collection).
