Lima, Peru, cob 8 reales, 1701H, probably Charles II, Calbetó Plate Coin. S-L15. 26.4 grams. Thick, chunky flan with full cross, one choice pillar, bold denomination, clear date, no part of king's name or ordinal visible but almost certainly Charles II despite Calbetó's attribution to Philip V. Plate Coin #277 in Calbetó's Compendium (1970).
