Lima, Peru, cob 2 reales, Philip II, assayer Diego de la Torre, oD-(*) to right, Grade 3, interesting shape, mounted in 14K gold necklace bezel. S-L4; KM-9; CT-490. 7.7 grams total. Very interesting piece in that a crescent-shaped segment of the edge was eaten away by corrosion, enabling a unique bezel design, while the rest of the coin was largely unaffected and shows nice details (near complete shield and cross), also with the oD assayer clearly visible. With original Fisher certificate #231637 (mistakenly attributed as a 4 reales). From: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
