Lima, Peru, cob 1 real Royal, 1748V, very rare. S-L22a; CT-unlisted. 2.7 grams. Round and thin (noticeably more even in thickness than the non-Royals), probably lightly shaved but remarkably unholed, with full pillars-and-waves and cross, well centered, nicely old-toned, just a bit worn (Fine) and weakly struck in centers, but quite rare as a type-coin for Ferdinand VI, only the second specimen of this date we have ever heard of and in fact a different variety from the other specimen (the present coin with dots flanking the denomination), which sold in our Auction #8 for $7000 + buyer's fee.
