Lima, Peru, cob 1/2 real, Philip II, assayer Diego de la Torre, oD to left, * to right of monogram, custom mounted in 18K necklace-bezel by Key West jeweler Whitfield Jack. S-L4. 11.3 grams. Choice VF specimen, deeply toned, with all central details full and most of legends, intriguingly mounted in the form of a ship's wheel with chain-link perimeter connecting to spokes, oversized bale at top with Jerusalem cross motif.
