Lima, Peru, bust 8 reales, Charles IV, assayer IJ (1791-1803), with obverse encrusted and showing the reverse impression of the obverse of another specimen (as found). KM-97. 29.7 grams. Solid coin (uncorroded, darkly toned) with reverse fully visible, the obverse completely covered with encrustation showing the entire impression (in reverse) of another bust 8R, a unique and impressive little display, albeit somewhat fragile. With certificate from the salvager (Stenuit). From the Athenienne, sunk in 1806 off Sicily in the Mediterranean
