Lightly encrusted earthenware "olive" jar with wooden stand, ex-Tolosa (1724). 8.1 lb. 11" tall, 10" at shoulders. Heavy, intact "beehive" design vessel with rounded bottom and light encrustation over dark orangish exterior, large rolled lip, barely visible spiral pattern on exterior, plus a loose shell inside, with metal chain and tag stating that it came specifically from the Tolosa site. PICKUP RECOMMENDED—SPECIAL SHIPPING COSTS APPLY. From the Tolosa (1724), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic and copy of the article "Graveyard of the Quicksilver Galleons" by Mendel Peterson from the December 1979 issue of National Geographic.
