Large silver ingot 632 from Potosi, 84 lb 5.12 oz troy, Class Factor 1.0, with markings of mine/date Po1622, manifest IULXXIX (1079), fineness IIUCCCLXXX (2380/2400, 99.17% fine), owners/shippers, silvermaster, and tax stamps, ex-Atocha (1622). 13¾" x 5½" x 3½". A neatly rectangular bar with lots of bold markings on top, particularly the manifest and fineness (with faint assayer Mexía cartouche) above and below the double-scoop assayer's "bite" in center, but also with bold MB and (double-cut) A-diamond monograms for owners/shippers to either side, the former also next to an effaced diamond-topped T, plus silvermaster B and three small slashes at one end, and three faint circular tax stamps; but best of all is the clear but lightly impressed cartouche of Po1622 to the left of the fineness, meriting this bar's top Class Factor rating. From the Atocha (1622), with original Fisher certificate 85A-S362.
