Large silver ingot 43 from Oruro dated 1622, Class Factor 0.9, 86.2 lb troy, with markings of manifest IUC (1100), fineness IIUCCCLXXX (2380/2400), owners/shippers (some canceled), silvermaster and tax stamps, ex-Atocha (1622). 1½" x 5¼" x 3½". A typical "loaf" of high-grade silver with better than average markings, including (from left to right): V for silvermaster de Vreder above circular tax stamp; Oruro mine cartouche with visible date 1622 (mentioned on the certificate) above large MB monogram (owner/shipper Muñibe, per manifest); IUC manifest number above the usual fineness IIU C C C L X X X; second circular tax stamp above a crossed-out owner/shipper mark oA; and another crossed-out owner/shipper mark TR (large). Minimal surface corrosion, professionally conserved, with clear cylindrical assayer's "bite" at left end. From the Atocha (1622), with Fisher photo-certificate S43.
