Large silver ingot 364 from Potosí, Class Factor 1.0, 78 lb 8 oz troy, marked with mint/date Po1621, fineness IUU CCC L XXX (2380/2400) and assayer Mexía cartouche, owner/shipper marks, tax stamps, and manifest number DXVIII (518), ex-Atocha (1622). Another premium ingot with very smooth top surface showing rather bold fineness, manifest. and smallish owner "sigla," the double-scoop assayer's "bite" in center also rather prominent, but also with three discernible circular coat-of-arms tax stamps, V for silvermaster de Vreder, and clear Po1622 cartouche, in addition to a very clear assayer's cartouche following the fineness, and lastly a deep diagonal slash believed to indicate where an amount was to be cut off at the destination to pay the "avería" (defense tax), according to the book Spanish Treasure Bars, by Craig and Richards (2003).
