Large silver bar 585 from Oruro, 67 lb 0.48 oz troy (25 kg), marked with fineness IIUCCCLXXX (2380/2400), manifest number LXXIX (79), owner/shipper marks and tax stamps, Class Factor 0.9, ex-Atocha (1622), ex-Morse. 15¾" long, up to 5" wide, 2½" tall. A typically large "loaf" of silver but with particularly sloping sides hiding a shallow cylindrical assayer's "bite" at one end, the top showing fineness marking in center and manifest number above and to right of that, with large owner/shipper "siglas" near both ends, including several that were marked out (canceled) in their time, ship's silvermaster mark V (dr Vreder) in one corner. From the Atocha (1622), with original Fisher photo-certificate 85A-S585, pedigreed to the J.M. Morse III Collection.
