Rather attractive specimen with bold markings of fineness IIU C C C L X X X (2380 = 99.2% pure) to left of assayer cartouche that reads IoV.Ess. / MEXIA, manifest number IUCCXXIX (1229), owner/shipper monograms ATS and HE (somehow referring to shipper C. Velez and owner V. Lopez, according to the manifest), V for silvermaster de Vreder, 3 clear tax stamps, plus (faint but present) 1622 date with P for Potosi, in addition to the typical double-scoop "bite" in center, with minimal corrosion.From the Atocha (1622), with Fisher certificate #56.
