Large cuphilt sword handle, completely encrusted (as found), ex-Tolosa (1724). 2287 grams. Roughly 9" x 9" x 6". Very large agglomeration of encrustation and shells cocooning an entire cuphilt sword handle (recognizable as such despite the surrounding materials), parts of which peek out allowing for dark oxidation, a terrific conversation piece. From the Tolosa (1724), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic and copy of the article "Graveyard of the Quicksilver Galleons" by Mendel Peterson from the December 1979 issue of National Geographic.
