Large clump of over a dozen Dutch East India Co. (Zeeland) copper duits and pieces of many others in matrix, as found. 177.85 grams total; roughly 4" x 2" x 1-1/2". Attractive display with multiple partially cleaned coins (and fragments) showing details on top, backed by others hidden in the jagged black matrix of debris and encrustation, with flattish bottom for nice stability. Pedigreed to the Mike Carulli Collection, with Sedwick certificate from 2003. Recovered from: Bredenhof, sunk in 1753 off Mozambique, east of Africa
