Laos (Kingdom of Luang Prabang), 1-1/2 tamlung Lat Money ("tiger tongue" ingot), 1700s-early 1800s. 96.0 grams, 4-1/2" long. A long-oval ingot with characteristic pattern on top containing 3 incuse stamps, a type of currency adopted from Lan Xang, a large kingdom in what is now Laos and eastern Thailand, this specimen AVF with contrasting toning.
