Ivory whale tooth dated 1841 with "To My Beloved Mary Harker" scrimshaw depicting a well-dressed lady with muff and high-top boots on one side and a basket of flowers on the other. 277 grams, 6" tall. Classic shape and with rich early patina, the lady engraved in the form of "pricking," using an early illustration for the resemblance, with date below and dedication above the basket of flowers on the other side, perfectly intact and made to stand upright, rare.
