Ivory sperm whale tooth with late-1800s scrimshaw depicting a three-masted whaling ship at sea with whale boats visible on deck, bird in sky above. 448 grams; 6" x 2-1/2" x 1-3/4". Very clean and intact ivory with dark and detailed scrimshaw design, the backside rough (unpolished) and bottom edge thin (uncut).
