Iron spike, professionally conserved. 148 grams, 10" long. A long, square-shanked spike with distinct head and sharp point, corroded (showing the grainy metal flow) but thoroughly stabilized (black). Recovered from: Santa Margarita, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida. With Fisher photo-certificate #52904.
