Iron barshot, professionally conserved, complete and intact, ex-Maravillas (1656), ex-Humphreys. 6.71 lbs (3046 grams). 12" long. Typical barshot with two cylindrical pucks (2½" in diameter and 2" thick) connected by a long bar (7½" long), used as a whirling projectile designed to cause maximum damage to a ship's sails, rusty and corroded but stable, particularly desirable from this popular wreck. From the Maravillas (1656), with original Herbert Humphreys photo-certificate.
