Ireland (struck at the Soho mint in Birmingham, England), gilt copper proof pattern halfpenny, George III, 1805, engrailed edge, PCGS PR65, finest known in PCGS census. Sp-6621; KM-147.1a. A beautiful proof in yellow-green gold, with nearly unblemished surfaces and lustrous fields that emanate high reflectivity at an angle, tops at PCGS and tied with a single PF65 at NGC for the gilt-copper issue.
