INDIA (British), Madras Presidency, massive clump of 450(+/-) English East India Co. copper X cash, 1808. KM-319. 5791 grams total. Roughly 9" x 7" x 5-½". A truly incredible and massive shipwreck clump that is a sight to behold, with numerous East India Company X cash coins scattered about its surfaces, many of which are darkened but with clear dates and design details visible. Even allowing for a generous 50/50 mix of coins versus other material, there are easily 450+ coins inside this clump. Additionally, the rusty orange matrix also shows fragments of the wooden cask that the coins were stored in. Very impressive and certainly a trophy piece from this shipwreck. Recovered from: Admiral Gardner, sunk in 1809 southeast of England
