Guadeloupe (British occupation), 9 livres, crowned-G countermark and central crenated square hole (1811) on a Potosi, Bolivia, bust 8 reales, Charles III, 1782PR, very rare, NGC VF 35, c/s XF standard. KM-unl (cf 24); Prid-2. Well-defined crenation and deep countermark on a fully detailed host with attractive toning all over, believed to be finest known at NGC but census does not list a Bolivian host (nor does KM, for that matter). NGC #4884953-001. With antique handwritten tag (French) giving the history of Martinique (to which the writer probably attributed this piece in error).
