Great Britain, copper alloy Admiral Vernon medal, 1739, Vernon and Fort Chagre / Porto Bello, ex-Adams. AC-FCv15V. 14.33 grams; 38 mm. Mint State but with very muted luster and no original color, still visibly superior to the AC plate piece on page 155, described on Adams' tag thus: "Mint color faded but no apparent wear. Lovely surfaces." XRF: 39.35% copper, 53.32% zinc, 5.33% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag) and to the Stack's auction of January 2012 (lot 6017).
