Great Britain (London, England), crown, George II, 1746, with LIMA below bust, NGC MS 62. Sp-3689; KM-585.3. Bold strike with somewhat three-dimensional details graced with good luster and colorful light toning ranging from red-gold in centers to purplish at rims, a very desirable grade for a highly popular issue (this being the largest silver coin) with LIMA below the king's bust to denote manufacture from Peruvian treasure captured from the French ships Louis Erasmus and Marquis d'Antin by British Captains Morecock and Talbot on their privateer ships Duke and Prince Frederick in the North Atlantic (not, as commonly told, related to Commodore Anson's successes in the Pacific).
