Gold "olive blossom" chain, 21" long, 29.92 grams, ex-1715 Fleet, ex-Haskins. Ideal length for wearing (just add clasp), a typical design made of two-sided links of six-petal flowers ("olive blossoms") in fairly tight formation, a quantity of which was found on the 1715 Fleet, pointing to its use as a "money chain" (tax-free gold), significant for this particular piece as its weight is very close to that of an 8 escudos. From the 1715 Fleet, with certificate #215 hand-signed by Jack Haskins in 1986, and pedigreed to our Auction #6, with original lot-tag #1717, and to our Auction #17, with original lot-tag #1466.
