Gold florette from a rosary bead, ex-Santa Margarita (1622). 1.75 grams. ½" x ¼". Dainty, but sturdy, ornate gold piece whose possible twin was marketed as "half of a gold cagework link" in the Christie's auction of Atocha and Santa Margarita artifacts in June 1988, some edges somewhat crimped and bits of sand and sedimentation filling channels on the petals. From the Santa Margarita (1622), with original Fisher photo-certificate 152-M-80 (point value: 48).
