Glazed ceramic Delftware plate with three-flower scene, ex-pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686). 356 grams. 8" in diameter, 1¼" deep. Mostly complete plate with bright reddish and blue painting, a scene of three flowers in the middle and lines and geometrics around the rim, some chips in the rim and repaired crack on one side. The pirate Bannister had captured an Irish ship and taken it north of Samaná, where he held it for two weeks and removed everything from it, including Delftware china like this piece. From the pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
