Glazed ceramic Delftware plate with scene of three churches, ex-pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686). 320 grams. 8" in diameter, 1" deep. Amazingly intact unglazed plate with simple painting in blue and red of three church structures side-by-side against a bisque background, some dark staining inside and out. The pirate Bannister had captured an Irish ship and taken it north of Samaná, where he held it for two weeks and removed everything from it, including Delftware china like this piece. From the pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
