Obverse with bust of Iturbide in center inside legend AGUSTIN 1• EMPERAD • DE MEXICO•; reverse with PROCLAMADO EN QUESALT• A• DE 1822• around oval arms (quetzal bird flying over two mountains) inside laurel and palm branches. Unevenly struck AU- (also slightly off-center) with very light toning over muted luster.
