Obverse with bust inside legend AGUSTIN 1• EMPERAD • DE MEXICO•; reverse with mountains-in-oval emblem at top, legend GUAT• EN LA PROCLAM• DE SU 1R• EMP• around laurels surrounding 26 DE DIC• / DE 1822• / 2o DE LA / INDEP• in center. Richly toned AU traces of luster around details, the obverse slightly off-center and with arc-shaped strike-through at top.
