GREAT BRITAIN, London, England, gold unite (20 shillings), Charles II, hammered coinage, first issue, mintmark crown (1660-62), NGC AU 50. Sp-3301; North-2753; KM-415; Fr-275. 9.07 grams. Bold full legends and inner details except for weak spot on ear / top of shield, rich gold color and muted luster (lightly hairlined), slightly undulating flan, overall a desirable example of the popular final hammered issue representing the end of the unite denomination, replaced by the smaller-diameter guinea in 1663.
