French short artillery sword in scabbard, ca. 1820-1840, possibly used in the Mexican War of Independence. 1339 grams, 27-1/2" long. Double-edged blade with signs of heavy use, plain brass hilt with arsenal marks on crossbar, original black-leather scabbard that has lost its rigidity but is essentially intact, with bright brass receptacle and tip.
