French cavalry sword, early 1800s, with steel scabbard and leather hanger. 1506 grams; 37-1/2" long in all. Excellent condition, with nice clean 1" blade, still sharp, with serial number 61040 at hilt, cross-hatched steel handle with dark wood grip and simple knuckle guard showing tiny hallmarks, also with leather finger-ring and scabbard-lock, the scabbard and hanger also original and intact, all lightly patinated but no rust.
