France (Paris mint), gold 20 francs, 1850-A, raised ear, PCGS AU58 / Ship of Gold special presentation case with pinch of gold, only example from the wreck in the PCGS census. Gad-1059; Fr-566; KM-762. Near Mint State with brilliant golden surfaces and sharp, well struck design elements. This is the sole example of this variety as well as the finest of just two pieces with this date recovered from the wreck. PCGS #35671941. Housed in special plastic holder containing a tag hand-signed by Bob Evans. Recovered from: SS Central America, sunk in 1857 off North Carolina
