France (Limoges mint), gold louis d'or mirliton, Louis XV, 1725-I, with palm branches, very rare, NGC UNC details / Le Chameau (Shipwreck Blue Label), ex-Ford. Gad-339; Fr-459; KM-470.09. Very rare mint/date combination (R3 in Gadoury), first example we have seen besides the next lot, with choice bold and full details and lovely rainbow coloration on reverse from its time under the sea, desirable pedigree. Pedigreed to the John J. Ford, Jr collection. (Stack's auction of January 2006, lot 453), stated on label. Recovered from: Le Chameau, sunk in 1725 off Nova Scotia, Canada Please use this link to verify the certification number
