Four sections of preserved rope, ex-1715 Fleet. 110 grams total. three pieces of 3½" x 5" and one piece of ½" x 2". Intact rope from shipwrecks is almost never found, these pieces saved by entombment in a solid "EO" (encrusted object) that was broken apart in conservation, now consisting of three large, complete, multi-strand pieces and a fourth piece that is just one small strand. From the Rio Mar site of the 1715 Fleet, with original Cobb Coin Co (Mel Fisher) plastic tag 41369 and Daniel Frank Sedwick certificate from 2000.
