Flintlock pistol, probably Mediterranean, late 1700s to early 1800s. 896 grams, 19" long. Straight barrel, slightly tapering, with silver inlays throughout, light engraving below flash-pan, brass furniture, ramrod missing and parts of stock cracked or broken off but intact enough for display and with interesting provenance. Reportedly found during the construction of Fort Jefferson (Dry Tortugas) in 1825.
