English silver cup with W& H hallmark (Walker and Hall, Sheffield), engraved on side "Greys Co. B / Best Shot / 1861. 126 grams, 3-1/2" tall, 2-5/8" diameter. Attractively engraved presentation cup with handle, a possible Civil War connection (perhaps Confederate), marked "Greys Company B. Best Shot. 1861." on front and Walker and Hall (as W& H), an English silversmith, touchmarks and "5" on bottom. Pedigreed to the Nicholas A. Penachio collection (Skinner auction of November 2018, lot #99). (Note: Further research indicates the maker may instead be Wood & Hughes of New York, active 1840-1890.)
