English naval boarding axe / fire axe, 1800s, signed by maker Merryweather (London). 693 grams, 15" long, with 5-1/2" blade. Government-issue hand-forged blade (cleaned and sharpened) with bold MERRYWEATHER on one side and LONDON on the other, ash-wood handle with broad-arrow stamp on both sides, nice small size and in great condition save for the usual nicks and pits. With photo-certificate.
