Encrusted silver ewer spout, ex-Atocha (1622), ex-Lippmann. 103 grams. 3½" x 1¼". Thickly encrusted artifact with bits of shell here and there and dark gray metal peeking out, still recognizable as a beak-shaped spout from a small jug or pitcher called an ewer, used to serve water for drinking at mealtime, housed in a displayable box. From the Atocha (1622), with original plastic tag and Fisher photo-certificate 85A-A360, housed in display box, pedigreed to the Noel Lippmann Collection.
