Earthenware "olive" jar with wooden stand, ex-Tolosa (1724). 3615 grams. 10" tall, 9½" in diameter at shoulders. Heavy clay beehive olive jar with slightly raised horizontal bands and small rolled lip, intact with part of one side sunken in, pitting here and there, a tan color in most spots with a darker, dusty color elsewhere, accompanied by a small wooden stand for display and metal chain with tag that indicates it came specifically from the Tolosa site. FRAGILE - PICK UP IN PERSON RECOMMENDED. From the Tolosa (1724), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic and copy of the article "Graveyard of the Quicksilver Galleons" by Mendel Peterson from the December 1979 issue of National Geographic.
