Early US eagle-hilt officer's sword, ca. 1814-1825. 729 grams, 36" long overall. Mounted gilt saber with brass eagle head hilt, fluted bone grip, blue and gilt-decorated blade marked "Sold by C&D Wolfe NY," well toned. These types of swords were used in the First Seminole War between the US army and the Seminole Indians in Spanish Florida. With photo-certificate.
