Early 18th-century German copper-plate engraving of Cartagena, Colombia, by Martin Engelbrecht (1684-1756), hand colored. 17-1/2" x 12-3/4". Fine engraving showing the city with small fortress and chained harbor with small boats in foreground, La Popa hill in the background, colored in blue-green and red (with some of the blue bled into the top margin), nice condition with old repair at top.
