Denomination set of 8-4-2-1-1/2 reales dated 1776, assayer FF, desirable date and rare as a set, the 4R particularly rare. 23.1, 11.8, 4.8, 2.6 and 1.4 grams. Each coin in this set is at least somewhat corroded and worn, and of course polished to brightness, but it is unique as a 1776 set and the 4R is among very few of that denomination found, arguably worth 4 figures by itself. From the Cazador, sunk in 1784 off Louisiana, with salvager's certificates #8836, 8837, 8838, 8839 and 8840.
