S-SD1; KM-43. 2.88 grams. Among 187,500 coins imported to Jamaica in 1611-1616 by Abbott Don Bernardo de Balbuena at a rate of 51 to the real and then distributed for circulation at the rate of 7 to the real. Bold countermark on a VF host coin with significant legend detail due to the broad planchet, several natural edge-cracks, spot of verdigris on the front.
