Copper-arsenic "hacha" with flecks of gold from Ecuador (Cañari culture), ca. 1200 AD, rare. 17.1 grams, 3-1/8" long. A very popular type of native trade medium, recognizably smaller and sturdier than the usual tajaderas, but particularly desired for its patent gold content, mixed in with the usual heavy surface patina, lots of orange and green color all over.
