Connecticut, Pay-Table Committee, 2 pounds five shillings and sixpence, Jan. 29, 1779, payable to James Thompson, signed by John Chenward, Fenn Wadsworth, Jedediah Huntington, and John Lawrence. Choice Extremely Fine with two horizontal folds and excellent paper quality for the age, partial lion-in-fort watermark at top and several penned signatures from Connecticut figures who served in both military and civilian roles during and after the Revolutionary War. Most notable among the signers is perhaps Jedediah Huntington (1743-1818) who served as a General during the war, participated in several battles and defenses, and was with Washington's army at Valley Forge. Countersigned on the back by Gideon Buckingham.
